Recently got news that there is a Dresden Files RPG being made.  It has passed the stages of play testing and plain text writing.  The recently revealed target production dates are June 23-27, 2010 (per their main site).  Before coming across this, I had the thought of converting the new World of Darkness to the Dresden world.

I am going to see if I can get a hold of the play test copy and possibly do a short write-up on the base system.  But until then, I am mostly in the blind about it.  I heard things from both ends of the spectrum but won’t judge until I try it.

In the mean time, I have a small project lined up to convert the new World of Darkness into the Dresnden Universe.   Don’t know when I will get to it as it won’t be an easy matter.  Building up the rules of the Accords, converting vampires and the different kinds of werewolves, putting in some rules for mage spells.  Might end up only fully converting mages and fluff up the rest for the players.

Either way,  I love the Dresden Files books and highly recommend them.  It has a lot of good writing and character models to learn from.  That, and they are a good read as well…
